ABOUT THE CHICAGO INFRASTRUCTURE TRUST
The Chicago Infrastructure Trust was created in April 2012 by executive order of Mayor Emanuel and City Council resolution. The CIT leverages alternative financing and delivery structures for large infrastructure project to enable government agencies to accelerate project delivery, reduce project costs, and enhance value to taxpayers.
The CIT is seeking a Project Associate with strong multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, a self-starter, and strong interpersonal and written communication skills. This position supports the CIT’s project management for large-scale infrastructure projects being procured by the CIT and as such manage the day-to-day aspects of project delivery for a given project including working closely with owner departments or agencies, private sector parties, and other stakeholders.
Assist in planning, developing, and implementing large-scale / complex procurements for critical infrastructure projects, through a diverse range of quantitative, qualitative, and administrative tasks.
Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external meetings/events, such client meetings and industry forums for specific projects.
Monitor projects from inception to completion. Develop, modify, or provide input to project plans. Implement plans to meet objectives/timeliness.
Assist in the drafting of any marketing materials and advertising, and participate in community outreach initiatives and workshops.
Interact with high-level officials to gather and provide authoritative information on contract and financial matters, and policy and management issues and problems.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Public Policy or Related field and 1-3 years of related work experience.
Team player with strong written and verbal communications, presentation, client service and technical writing skills to deliver high-quality deliverables.
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Able to manage multiple projects while under time constraints to deliver and meet deadlines.
Project management experience preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in performing a wide range of complex responsibilities under limited supervision.
Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, financial analysis, reporting and writing skills preferred.
Financial modeling experience preferred, but not required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Executive Director and/or senior management.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
