Trust Applies for Multiple CHP Grants

Grant applications, valued at $2M and relating to the Trust’s Combined Heat and Power (CHP) initiative, have been submitted to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). Trust Receives CHP Proposals

The Chicago Infrastructure Trust has announced the receipt of two, separate unsolicited proposals to implement Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems throughout the City. As per the Trust’s Contracting Manual, an Open Bidding Process has been initiated, and any alternative proposals are due by October 24, 2014 at 9AM CT.  

Trust Relocates Headquarters, Announces New Hires

On August 11, 2014, the Chicago Infrastructure Trust relocated its headquarters from the Merchandise Mart to the historic Jewelers’ Building at 35 East Wacker Drive, Suite 1450, a map of which is available here. Additionally, the Trust is pleased to welcome Mike Miretti, Managing Director, and Rhea Coleman, Office Manager, as its newest full time employees.    

Trust Applies for CNG “Tiger Team” Grant

The Chicago Infrastructure Trust has contacted the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) to apply for a “Tiger Team” grant for technical consultancy reimbursement related to its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Open Bidding Process, a service valued at up to $30K. Municipal Buildings Retrofit Construction Begins

Construction for the Municipal Buildings Retrofit project is underway and will be led by Ameresco Inc., Noresco, LLC and Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. PACE Open Bidding Process Closes

The Open Bidding Process regarding the establishment of a commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) special assessment program has closed. This follows the Trust’s receipt of an unsolicited proposal regarding a PACE program in January 2014. Open bidding commenced on June 2, 2014.

Trust Applies for PACE Grant

The Chicago Infrastructure Trust has applied for a $500K Building Industry Training and Education (BITE) grant through Illinois’ Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). The grant would support a training and roll-out program for the Trust’s ongoing Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) initiative, in conjunction with the creation of a City ordinance permitting the program. The DCEO is expected to award the grant in Spring 2015.
