It follows receipt of an unsolicited proposal to extract metal from City and Chicago Park District land and with the assurance that the land will be returned to its pre-project and/or enhanced state and provide a revenue stream to the City/Trust. The City of Chicago now ranks among the Top 10 metro areas with regard to clean technology leadership, according to an annual report compiled by the U.S. Clean Leadership Index. Previously, the City was listed in 12th place. According to the report, cited in an article by Crain’s Chicago Business, the City’s ranking improved because of improvement in investment, innovation and workforce,” crediting Mayor Rahm
