The O’Hare Express System Project will improve transportation between O’Hare International Airport and downtown Chicago by providing faster, more direct, and more reliable service.
The Chicago Infrastructure Trust, in coordination with the City of Chicago, is pleased to be leading the procurement process for the O’Hare Express System (OES) Project. This project aims to provide express transportation service between O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and downtown Chicago. The procurement will select a private party that will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the OES Project.
A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the OES Project was issued on November 29, 2017 (click here to view). Statements of Qualifications in response to the RFQ were received on February 5, 2018. On March 21, 2018, the CIT and City released the Shortlisted Respondents to the RFQ. The Shortlisted Respondents can be found here.
On March 23, 2018, the CIT and the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the O’Hare Express System Project for response by eligible shortlisted entities. A copy of the RFP can be found here (as amended May 1, 2018). The Boring Company was announced as the selected Respondent on June 14, 2018 and will proceed to the exclusive negotiations stage of the procurement.
